Reading List
Inspired by Joy (no! not joy as in happiness…Joy is a person
), I decided to have a reading list on my blog. Will try and update it as and when I find the time.
Year 2009 (Most recent one at the top):
- Hindu Dharma by Bansi Pandit : I have always been baffled by how the concept of religion has gained so much importance in our daily lives. If religion teaches us how to live our lives and logic is the basis of life itself, there should be some connection between the two. Unfortunately, religion as being preached around the world in its various avatars is far from being based on any kind of logic. Is it a problem with perception or is it an outcome of deliberate twisting of someone else’s teachings for material benefits. What is life? Why I am here? What am I supposed to be doing? What is right? What is wrong? I seek answers to these questions. This is why I wanted to read this book. The book does not disappoint to answer a few questions albeit in a very defensive manner.
- Shatharam by Gregory David Roberts : Every Indian needs to read this book. To be able to see India through GDR’s eyes is an enthralling experience.
- Business Stripped Bare by Richard Branson : The inside scoop of how the Virgin group was set up and how its business flourished. Must read for those who would like to be an entrepreneur.
