The Bomb Blasts
My heart goes out to all the victims of the blasts at Ahmedabad and Bangalore.
But this is ridiculous. Isnt there something that we can do to stop this growing menance of terrorism that is haunting our nation for the best part of the last 20 years. I mean, we are country full of intellectuals for God’s sake. Cant we come up with a more logical way of dealing with this?
Sure we can walk out on our streets pretending that nothing really has happened and the media can derive stupid conclusions out of this along the lines of ‘the spirit of the city and that of its people remains intact despite the blasts’. Truth is that we do not give a damn unless our families are involved.

Hey..
Cant we organise a walk or a rally condemning the blast ?
This is not affliated to any political party or religious outfit, but to the man on the street. At the end of the day, human lives were lost in that barbaric incident and we cannot just move on as though nothing happened. Do let me know if you have any plans or ideas about them.
I used to always wonder when the Government says – “the security has been tightened in so and so cities. They have been put on high alert…”. Why can’t every day be a high alert day? Why can’t the security be tighter every single day? We can use the police force efficiently.
But Government can’t be blamed all the time. We as citizens can be more alert too. For instance – we don’t verify the stranger tenant while renting our house to him. We have stopped prying on neighbors.. (busy that we are!
).. Such simple checks can help to a great extent..
@Santosh
Nice idea Santosh. I spoke to my friend Anush and he told me that there was one such demonstration held last weekend. But their agenda was the Bangalore blasts alone…
Ill spread the word and let us see if we can do something…
@Prajna
Agreed
Sure man..
Keep me updated..
